Abstract photography of Rovaniemi-based photographer Kaisa Sirén on display in Arctic City Hotel lobby and Saga meeting hall.
Kaisa Sirén expresses her inner feelings and finds her mindscapes through nature photography. In her works she wonders about the state of nature and climate change. People have lost the conception of the importance of nature, the vision has blurred. The atmosphere created by blur and long exposure is a perfect reflection of our lost tie to nature.
Kaisa Sirén graduated with a photography degree in 1985 from Ryerson Polytechnical Institute in Toronto, Canada. Her day job is photojournalism, which is very well defined, documentative and representative. Abstract photography is a good balance to that.
