The harvest season begins when the willow herb starts to bloom. The berries are ripe and people head for the bogs to pick cloudberries and search forests for other berries. The days of summer, filled with light, begin to get shorter and grow dimmer. People hunt, fish and pick berries. The berries, meat and fish are preserved for winter.
