Rantavitikka School provides basic education for grades 1–9. The school includes a flexible basic education group (JOPE) (grades 7–9), small group teaching, and preparatory education for immigrant pupils. There is also a visual arts focus, which students across Rovaniemi can apply for. The school includes a preschool group and after-school club.

Visual arts focus:

Applicants from the entire city can apply through entrance exams. Travel costs are not covered by the city.

Grade 7: 2 lessons/week + art club, covering basics in drawing, painting, sculpture, graphics, photography, video, and film.

Grades 8–9: 2–4 lessons/week (elective). Focus on independent and creative art projects in workshop-like settings.
