Urban forests are open for everyone to enjoy outdoor activities and relaxation. Many of the larger forest areas have a fairly good network of trails or pedestrian and cycling paths, making it easy to move around in the area.
The city aims to maintain urban forests every year. If you have suggestions for maintenance, you can send them through the feedback service. However, not all requests can be fulfilled during the same year.
The city does not remove individual trees just because they cast shade or drop leaves or needles. Instead, the goal is to care for larger areas at once in a planned way.
If a tree appears to be unhealthy — for example, if it has no leaves in the summer, has lost its needles, or shows signs of rot — and it poses a danger to nearby buildings, traffic or people, you should report it through the feedback service.
