Swimming and water exercise

Swimming hall Vesihiisi located near the city center offers possibilities for public swimming and water exercise.

• You can swim for fitness at your own level, borrow aqua jogging belts or simply enjoy moving in the water.
• In the lagoon pool, you can try different water exercise routines by following the instructions displayed on the screen.

In addition to public swimming, the swimming hall also offers guided activities such as swimming schools, baby and toddler swimming, adaptive groups and water aerobics. These guided activities are mainly in Finnish.

Ask about guided actitivities or language requirements from the swimming instructors.

Vesihiisi facilities:

• A 25-meter main pool (27°C, depth 1.1m – 3.8m, 6 lanes, also equipped with a pool lift)
• The main pool includes a 1-meter diving board and a diving tower with 3-meter and 5-meter platforms
• An exercise screen is also available at the shallow end of the main pool
• Lagoon pool (32°C, depth 1.15m – 1.30m, includes water massage jets, an exercise screen and a pool lift)
• Teaching pool (29°C, depth 0.65m – 0.85m)
• Small paddling pool for children (32°C, depth 0.45m)
• Water slide with braking trough (total length with trough 33m)
• A small café operates in the swimming hall's entrance lobby

Additional facilities:

The swimming hall also includes:

• rental sauna,
• fireplace room
• music exercise hall

These can be reserved for personal or group use.
