Information about service

Submit a written notification for the municipal food control authority about your place of primary production and your production operations there.

In the notification, include

  • your name and contact information
  • your business ID, holding code or customer code or, if these are not available, your personal identity code
  • the address and name of the place of primary production and its visiting address and municipality
  • information on the nature and scale of operations
  • the estimated start of operations.
  • Submit a primary production notification to the Rovakaari environmental health care primarily with a written form. You can use the same form to submit a notification of the transport of primary production goods. You can also deliver the form to the Rovakaari environmental health care by email.

The operator must ensure that the place of primary production, the production carried on there and the products of primary production produced meet legal requirements. Product safety must not be compromised.

The operator must notify about changes to the primary production, suspension of the production for more than a year or termination of the production. The food control authority must be notified by latest when the changes enter into force.
