You will participate in a course where you receive information about Finnish society and everyday civic skills in your native language or another language you understand well.

The course provides comprehensive information about living, residing, and working in Finland, the structure and functioning of Finnish society, as well as individual rights and responsibilities. You will also learn about local services.

The Multilingual Societal Orientation is organized by Employment and Integration Services, and if needed, in cooperation with a trainer or service provider.

The course lasts approximately 70 hours and is primarily delivered through in-person instruction.

How to Join?

You will receive an invitation. An employee from Employment or Integration Services will reserve a place for you in the course and inform you separately.

Where?

The course provider and location will be confirmed before the course begins. Employment and Integration Services will inform you about upcoming courses.

To who and with what terms

Who is the course for?

The course is intended for immigrants aged 18 and over who are assessed to benefit from it and who have an integration plan prepared by Employment or Integration Services.

Additional Information

The course is free of charge and based on interactive learning.
The training is planned according to the needs of the participants.
Societal orientation is an early-stage integration service offered at the beginning of the integration process.
The timing of the service is assessed individually, based on the customer’s integration plan and the services included in it.
