Integration plan

An integration plan is an individualized plan designed to promote the integration of an immigrant. It is prepared jointly by the employment authority and the immigrant, outlining suitable goals for integration and employment, as well as the services and participation in those services.

The first integration plan can be drawn up within the first three years after the granting of the initial residence permit or residence card, or the registration of the right of residence. The initial integration plan is prepared for a maximum duration of one year. The planning process takes approximately two hours and is conducted in a face-to-face meeting.

The integration plan sets out individual long-term goals for integration, employment, or entrepreneurship, as well as short-term objectives to be pursued during the plan period. The plan takes into account the jobseeker’s wishes, skills, life situation, and work and educational background.

The aim is for you to find and participate in services that support your employment, entrepreneurship, and integration. These may include language studies, vocational training, or services that support employment or starting a business. Your overall life situation and well-being are considered when preparing the plan.

You have the right to interpretation during the planning meeting, if needed.

We work in multidisciplinary cooperation with the wellbeing services county of Lapland, the City of Rovaniemi’s integration services, and other relevant actors. Depending on your situation, the meeting may also include an integration advisor, your social worker, or professionals from early childhood education or youth services, if your life situation, work ability, or functional capacity requires it.
