Training and competition bookings for sports facilities are primarily requested online via the resource reservation system (see service access channels below). Associations, communities, or companies must inform sports services of the persons authorized to make reservations on their behalf; these persons are then added to the reservation system and can make bookings electronically. Login is done with bank credentials.
If electronic service is not possible, training and competition bookings can be requested using a printable training booking form, available under service access channels. The form must be returned to the City Service Point Osviitta.
The application must include, among other things:
- Whether the booking is for adults or juniors (under 18)
- The sport for which the booking is requested
- The level of play or activity level
- The sports facility requested
- The day(s), time(s), and season for the booking
- Whether the applicant is a registered sports club
- Contact and billing information of the applicant club/community and the person responsible for the booking
Swimming hall Vesihiisi pool bookings are requested from the swimming hall manager, either by training booking form or free-form application. Applications can be submitted directly to the swimming hall manager, Jari Virta.
Booking periods are announced in the Uusi Rovaniemi newspaper and via email to clubs/organizations that have provided their email addresses.
Booking deadlines:
- Regular bookings for autumn and spring seasons by April 30th at 16:00 (includes regular bookings, training subsidies, and rental subsidies from Aug 1 to July 31)
- Outdoor field bookings (grass, artificial turf, and sand fields) and swimming hall bookings for summer season by February 28th at 16:00
- Ounashalli and outdoor ice bookings by July 31st at 16:00
