Assessment of skills and integration service needs

We assess your need for services that support integration. We evaluate your previous skills and your opportunities for employment and education in Finland.

We also explore your wishes and goals, as well as your need for services related to integration and job seeking. We ask about your previous education, work history, language skills, health and work ability, and your family situation. In addition, your language proficiency, reading and writing skills may be assessed, and you may be referred to other evaluations if needed.

The assessment may be carried out in multidisciplinary cooperation with the wellbeing services county of Lapland and other relevant actors. A social worker may participate in the assessment if your life situation, work ability, or functional capacity requires it.

Duration and Implementation

The assessment is conducted in person in Rovaniemi. The initial assessment takes approximately 4–7 hours.
