In Rovaniemi, students pursuing a vocational qualification can also take upper secondary school courses at Ounasvaara Upper Secondary School. The school is located at the Porokatu campus of Lapland Education Centre REDU.
To apply, students must choose a vocational study programme in the joint application and answer “yes” to the question about upper secondary studies/matriculation examination. Students are first admitted to vocational studies based on the vocational programme's admission criteria.
In Rovaniemi, students must have an average grade of at least 7.0 in academic subjects on their basic education certificate to be eligible for vocational upper secondary studies.
