The Regional Museum of Lapland – Arktikum

The Regional Museum of Lapland offers a wide range of services related to the culture and history of Lapland. We collect, research, and exhibit materials related to the region’s cultural history and natural sciences. We also provide expert services in the fields of Lapland’s history, built heritage, archaeology, and natural sciences.

Our museum is located in the Arktikum building. Arktikum serves as both a museum and a science centre, as well as a venue for meetings and events.

The exhibitions in Arktikum, produced by the Regional Museum of Lapland and the Arctic Centre, provide engaging experiences and valuable insights into Lapland and the Arctic region.

Lapland Chamber Orchestra

Lapland Chamber Orchestra – Rovaniemi City Orchestra is the northernmost professional chamber orchestra in the entire EU. The orchestra has 19 full-time musicians, and for more than three decades it has been led by Artistic Director and world-renowned conductor and violinist John Storgårds. Based at Korundi House of Culture in Rovaniemi, the orchestra is a regional orchestra that regularly tours the Province of Lapland, but also performs elsewhere in Finland and abroad
