Rovaniemi City Council held a vote concerning the lease of the winter swimming site, maintained by Ounasvaaran Latu ry. The vote resulted in an open-end lease with a year’s notice for the use of Koskipuisto from October 1st to the end of April. The winter swimming site will move this year from its former spot in Kukanniemi to Koskipuisto, closer to the city centre. The same was used last year for the Winter Swimming World Championships 2014.
